Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
My son is 17 and has been seeing his girlfriend against the girlfriend's mother's wishes - she is also 17. Today, this mother stormed into my house to get her daughter (of course she was not supposed to be there) and verbally bashed my son as well as her own daughter. She also threatened to call police. Can she make good on these threats and what kind of charges could my son face? I have instructed my son to stop seeing this girl for now. Should I call this mother and see if we can repair anything? It does not sound like she is a reasonable person.

From the facts you put in the question I see no criminal liability for you or your son. It sounds like the other woman trespassed in your home.
A parent can determine who her son or daughter sees. They can preclude contact. However, under the circumstances you relate, it does not appear that there has been any criminal violation.
