Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
My son is in Minnesota DOC. He pled guilty to a criminal charge and Court Sentencing Hearing judge sent to prison for 15 years. He has since lost on appeal. Is there any way he can now get a trial by jury? Evidencde shows he was not capable of understanding his behavior.

If there is new evidence showing that he was not capable of understanding his behavior, he may be able to file for post conviction relief. This will be more difficult based on the guilty plea. I would strongly encourage you to sit down with a criminal defense attorney and discuss your options.
