Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

if i had a stay of adjudication.does that mean my felony will show up on a background check.if so what good is a stay of adjudication.thank you

The fact that you were charged would show up on a background check, but it should not show up as a conviction. Then again, it would also show up if you won the case and were acquitted.

The Stay of Adjudication essentially has you plead guilty to the court, but as long as certain conditions are met, the court will not accept your plea, and after a proscribed period of time, the case will be dismissed.
