Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
Stealing mail
Isn't it against the law to remove documents from someones mailbox other than your own? My daugther-in-law who is in the process of divorcing my son and is separated from him at this time, has been taking checks out of his mailbox that are made out and addressed to him. What can he do about this?

Re: Stealing mail
Intercepting someone else's mail is a violation of federal postal regulations - report it to the post office. If she's writing his signature on the checks to cash them, then it's also forgery and theft and he should report it to the police.
