stealing $1240.00 from Wal-Mart
I would like to know if by committing a felony, is this going to affect my job as a mail carrier?

If convicted, a felony conviction will normally have a serious, negative effect on employment. I do not know the detials of the U.S. Postal Service rules relating to employment, but a conviction will put just about any good employment at risk.
Fight it.
