The question is not entirely clear. Recorded statements obtained by police and used in a criminal prosecution are generally made available to the defendant through their lawyer as part of pretrial discovery. On the other hand, evidence collected by police as part of an ongoing but as yet uncharged criminal investigation would generally be non-public, unless something happened to change that (such as a court order).
