If I am with a friend that steals out of a store and she leaves the store before me with the stolen items and I leave out after with everything paid for can we both get charged with misdemeanor theft?

Re: Theft
A criminal charge is a claim or allegation. So, perhaps it might be possible - I don't have all the facts.
A person who helps another commit a crime can be charged with a crime. If others perceive that is what happened, you might have a problem. Avoid that in the future. If it happened already, avoid talking to police.

Re: Theft
Charges against you would be unlikely unless you acted in such a way as to facilitate the theft such as serving as a look out, creating a diversion or providing other assistance. This would be abetting the offense.
If contacted by law enforcement, you should exercise your right to remain silent and contact a lawyer.
