The case can only be resolved by plea or trial in Minnesota. However, with consent of anogther statae, it can be agreed to have any sentenced executed in another state. Most states because of cost will not agree to accept out of state prison terms.

An arrest warrant can be executed anywhere in the state of the court it was issued. In other states, special arrangements would need to be made, and these are easily done, at the request of the prosecuting authority handling the charge. If a person is held in another state on a Minnesota arrest warrant, they could be extradited back to Minnesota, under the authority of an interstate uniform statute. It can be done, but is not always done. Various factors may influence the local prosecutors' decision about whether to do that.
