Legal Question in DUI Law in Minnesota

#4 dui (scared questions)

I am in MN and received a 4th, what are the possible out comes and what do I do from the time I am out of jail on bail to sentencing.

What do the courts take into consideration when it comes to leinency(sp)? Is the criminal past history involved in sentencing factors?

Re: #4 dui (scared questions)

I don't blame you for being scared if this is your 4th offense. If this is your 4th offense within 10 years, then you're facing a felony level DWI, which could result in a prison sentence for at least 3 years if you're convicted. There are also serious consequences for your driving privileges, forfeiture of your vehicle, and other penalties. Contact some attorneys for free consultations so you can get all of your questions answered. There are way too many details to consider to cover them all in writing.

Re: #4 dui (scared questions)

You are probably looking at a felony, depending upon how old your DWI's are. I strongly suggest that you speak to an attorney in your locality ASAP. A local attorney will be better able to advise you about what the local judge would do with your situation. I invite you to contact me if you were arrested in Martin, Watonwan, Faribault, Blue Earth, Brown, Nicollet, Waseca, Le Sueur, or Sibley County.
