accident 5 months later

i was in a motorcycle accident with car i was in hospital for two days i received no ticket one day after a police officer came to my home and gave me the release to get my bike the next day he came with my license plate saying it must have been knocked off now 5 months later state pulled my license and I got a dui which now my question can they come now and get my motorcycle after 5months and i just put all insurance to fix it which i surely wouldn't have fixed it.

please help in minnesota

Though your question is not clear, it sounds like police seized your motorcycle for administrative forfeiture due to a DWI arrest with priors. The law in this area is complex. In the right circumstances, it could happen. Your argument that most of the value in it now was added after the crash, sounds like it could have merit, though not a sure winner. You should seek a DWI lawyers help. Or, do your best in conciliation court without a lawyer, perhaps.
