Re: driving afer cancellation lPS

A lot - too much to attempt to cover here in detail. Here is a general list:

1. Enhanced maximum penalty due to priors within ten years.

2. Mandatory minimum sentencing provisions, due to priors within 10 years.

3. Plate impoundment, "special" plates after.

4. Vehicle forfeiture.

5. Life-time loss of normal drivers license (B-card license only - years later.)

6. Revocation of probation on prior.

Conclusion: hire the best DWI defense lawyer you can, soon! For my info, see:

Re: driving afert cancellation lps

Unfortunately the Driving afte cancellaton charge is likely to be a probation violation. That means the Judge in the DWI case may impose any jail sentence previously stayed. On a second offense as a gross misdemeanor, that could mean up to one year in jail.

Certainly such issues can be negotiated as part of the DAC resolution.
