Legal Question in DUI Law in Minnesota

DUI by admission?

If I was never arrested for DUI but later admitted to driving while drunk, by explaining about a situation that occurred at that time. Can I get a DUI just from admitting to driving while drunk?

Re: DUI by admission?

Perhaps it could be possible, in the sense that a confession is evidence. The majority of convictions in criminal cases involve cases with confessions. On the other hand, in Minnesota, we have a statute that requires some "corroboration" of a confession (other evidence), in order for conviction.

I will say that I have never seen a case like that, so far.
