Legal Question in DUI Law in Minnesota

minor consumption ticket

Hello. I am beside myself and want

to be prepared for what my daughter

may potentially face with her latest

trouble. She has received two minor

consumption tickets in the State of

Minnesota/Dakota County in the past

year and a half. She paid fines and

had to attend some classes.

However, as of last night she

received her third but in Brookings

South Dakota. She is 17. Any

thoughts on how it works with a

ticket in another state vs Minnesota

and what type of consequences could

be in store for her (especially drivers

license privelages)? Thanks for any

help or insight on this. There was no

driving involved on any of these just

fyi.

Second, she is likely on probation for her previous Minnesota charges and the new violation likely violates the conditions of that probation. that means the court in Minnesota can impose any penalties previously stayed including potential jail time, community service etc...
