reinstatement of drivers license

In 1994 I got a dui and completed 48 hr class and also did a assessment with the county. I now need my license and the DMV is telling me I have to fullfill the new laws,is this correct.

I am uncertain what you men by the "new laws." You would certainly be required to take a written test and pay a reinstatement fee of $680 plus surcharges if it was a first offense.
