Legal Question in DUI Law in Minnesota

Removal from record

On the 17th of this month, it will have been seven years since my arrest for DUI in Woodbury, MN. I was told after seven years it would be removed from my record. Now I'm hearing this is not the case. This could definately hurt my chances for future employment. What can I do?

Re: Removal from record

Probably nothing. One idea would be to research whether the law would support a motion to the court to order it removed based upon reliance upon that law at the time of the guilty plea.

Expungment of records is pretty limited. I suggest you review the following document to see if it applies to you.

Re: Removal from record

I am afraid that a DWI conviction remains on your record indefinitely. It cannot be removed.
