Stop sign violation & underage consumption.
My 17 year old daughter was stopped for an incomplete stop at a stop sign coming home from her friend's house. They checked her with a breathalyzer and they said she blue a .06. Ticket says underage drinking and driving 169A.33(2) and stop sign violation 169.30(b). Is it worth getting a lawyer and what would lawyer fees roughly amount to? Stopped in Anoka County.

Re: Stop sign violation & underage consumption.
In a case like this, getting the Underage Drink & Drive ticket on her record would be a major stumbling block for your daughter. She is close to finishing high school and will be entering the job market if she hasn't already. She might be applying for college as well. Her record will definitely play a role in those aspects of her life, so it would be wise to consult with an attorney to see if will be possible to keep this off her record. Also, a conviction to that offense would result in her driver's license being suspended. Many attorneys live in Anoka County (including myself), so it would be wise to start there with this process.
