Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

My ex and I have 50/50 legal custody. She has sole physical custody. I recently requested permission to take our 2 daughters on a trip to Florida for a week in May. The reason I asked is because I would need to take them out of school for a week. She has denied my request. With 50/50 legal custody do I need her permission? If so does she need to get my permission to take them out of state?

Yes. To remove a child from school requires an agreement of the parties or an Order of the Court if they share legal custody.Permission is not required to take the children out of State during that person's parenting time.
