Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

My ex and I have 50/50 legal custody. She has sole physical custody. I would like to take our daughters on a trip to Florida in March for a week, but I only get them every other weekend. This would require taking them out of school. She says I can't because she's afraid that Ill "steal them" which is absolute nonesense. Is there anything that I can do legally to get them for a week long family vacation?

To modify the parenting schedule, you must either mediate a resolution or file a Motion seeking a court order for: (A) additional parenting time; (2) to take the children out of school and remove them from the state. To have any chance of doing som, would require some documentation from the school that they do not believe the removal will affect the children or their grades.
