Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I believe that I have a 7 year old daughter that I have never met. I tried to get the county to get the mother to bring the daughter in for a paternity test but she would not cooperate. So I was told that I need a private attorney. I can not afford to pay full price for an attorney so I am wondering if there is an attorney who can work with me on a price

Well you probably won't find an attormey who will work for less than their full price. You wouldn't want services like that anyway as they won't give you the same attention as a client paying full price. You will find many attorneys such as myself who can be flexible about their fee arrangements though.

You may have an issue with the statute of limitations in your case. Generally paternity cases must be brought within six years of a child's birth. So you would need an attorney to help you research a way to overcome that.
