Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

adultry & divorce

I have been married for 22 years, I just found out my husband is a sex addict & has also been having an affair with a woman for 5 years, she's not married. What are the laws in MN regarding adultry?

Re: adultry & divorce

I am terribly sorry to hear of your troubles.

Minnesota is a no fault divorce state. that means fault, such as adultry, has no impact on the divorce proceedings. Minnesota also does not recognize any cause of action against the mistress for alienation of affection.
