changing schools

If I have only have temporary physical custody of my 17yr old child, and want to change schools, (another district 85miles from current school). Can I do this without consulting the other parent?

Regardless of the physical custody order, you likely share "legal" custody. That means each parent may be inmvolved in decisions regarding the minor child including those related to schooling and education. You must notify the other parent and seek his/her consent.
