I would need additional facts to comment on your question. In general, the court will be reluctant to separate children who are raised together, even if they are not "biological siblings," particularly if they are in a home where they have been raised together.

The health, both physical and mental, of each parent is a factor the court will consider in making a custody decision. Much more information is required to comment about that matter further.
