Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Child Support

I have joint legal custody and my x has full physical custody of our son. I recently have come out of a bad situation (addiction) and have been working at my new employer for about 3 months. My x makes more then twice as much as me and has recently filed for me to pay child support. What are the laws regarding support when I do not have half custody?

Re: Child Support

Under current law, a non-custodial parent would pay child support for one child in the amount of 25% of net (after tax) income.

The child support laws change January 1, 2007. For more information visit our web site at divorceprofessionals.com
