Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota
I have a court appointed expeditor that was assigned 6 weeks ago and she has already charged us $700 in 5 weeks to decide one weekend change that my ex wanted. She also met with my children and ex husband and said that I was not allowed to attend the session and that she would call me before she made a "decision" on my ex's "issues". I never got a phone call, just a bill for $400. To this day, I have no idea what those issues were. She refused to tell me.
My question is, how do I fire this lady and ask the court to appoint someone new? I simply think she wastes time and money and I simply cannot afford her.

You cannot terminate an expeditor appointed unless there is an agreement of the parties or a court order. Unfortunately, if there is no agreement by the parties, courts are reluctant to terminate the expeditor's services unless a clear bias can be shown.
