I want to get custody of my children

My wife has been turned in to the welfare by many people because has abused my children and nearly killed our youngest son. She has accused me of hitting her in front of our children. I have never put a hand on her, because I loved her so much. I now know that we are not meant to be together, so I want to get a divorce and custody of our children so they will be safe. I get $600 a month SSI and can not affort expensive attorney fees, I don't know what to do, can you help me?

Try Legal Aid

There are many organizations that work for low income clients. You may try Legal Aid in your county. You may also call the Hennepin County Bar association and ask for a "Low Fee" attorney. Under that program, you are charged a retainer of $250 and the hourly rate is reduced to $50 per hour.
