I have a custody court case nov23 that I need delayed , how do I get a delay in the cas

You can contact the other party to see if he/she willing to have the hearing continued. If you both agree, you can contact Court Administration about continuing the court date. If you cannot get it continued, be prepared for the hearing but you can ask that day for a continuance. You will need a very good reason for continuing the hearing. There are other nuances to this situation depending upon why you need the hearing continued and you will need to discuss them with an attorney to get a more comprehensive answer.

There is no simple solution to your quandry. Your remedy depends greatly on the procedural status of your case. You may, as counsel suggested, seek an agreement to continue the hearing from the opposing party or his/her counsel. Absent an agreement, you must file a Motion seeking a continuance. if it is not granter, you must attend or face a potential default resulting in the proceedings moving forward as if uncontested.
