custody of my teen

i have no legal coustody of my

thirteen year old daughter who

came to live with me eight months

ago. her mother did no approve. her

mother has had absolutly no contact

with her. if she does not want to

leave can she be forced to go?

You will probably want to file a motion in family court to change custody in order to ensure that your daughter will be able to stay with you. As it stands, although your daughter's mother has not contacted her for eight months, there is no legal basis for you to retain custody.

Yes. She can be forced to leave and the provisions of any custody order enforced.

Your only remedy would be to file a Motion seeking to modify custody. Since 8 months have passed, you may seek to modify custody arguing that the minor child has been integrated into your home withthe other parent's consent. It would seem that you have very strong arguments in that regard.
