Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Day Care Expense Charges

I was paying a third of the day care expense to my ex-wife. Come to find out, my child has not gone to day care since Nov of 2000. I am also behind in support payments, and I have been doing everything to play catch-up. As most of us know, that can be a toll in itself. I called the child support office in Dakota county MN. The very nice lady worked with me I must say. She told me that I had indeed over-paid by nearly $1,000. However, she also told me that the county attorney said that I would NOT be credited for my overpayment. Now why is that so? I over-paid in child care and they will not credit my account? If I under-paid we all know what they would do. I need H E L P. Thank you.

Re: Day Care Expense Charges

Better find a good lawyer. Sounds like you need to challenge this one in court.

The first thing I'd like to do is talk myself with that county attorney and find out why they won't give you a credit.
