Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I am on disability social security $700/month but my child support bill is $1543/month and I cannot pay anything on it. I would like to file to have the monthly amount lowered because the total amount owed is growing rapidly. What could negatively happen to me in this case in court?

Your case would have to be reviewed. However, it would seem you have a strong basis to reduce child support. Moreover, if you receive social security disability, your child is eligible for a payment based on your disability that may offset against any child support owed.
