Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

In my divorce decree, the house was asigned to me. My ex-husband agreed to and signed the decree. I have been divorced for 2 1/2 years, and my ex-husband has refused to sign the quit claim deed to legally remove his name from the deed. Is there another court filing that I can complete/submit to have his name removed from the deed?

Yes, Summary Real Estate Disposition Judgment Form, follow this link:

https://www.cards.commerce.state.mn.us/CARDS/security/search.do?method=showPoup&documentId;={4EBA3512-0D71-4644-BA8D-D0C82CD39C84}&documentTitle=45859&documentType=7

It is form 80.1.2 available online at the MN Department of Commerce. Complete form, provide to the Court for a Judge to sign (no hearing required). Once you receive the signed Summary Real Estate Disposition Judgment Form, file with County Recorder.

I recommend you have an attorney review the Summary Real Estate Disposition Judgment form together with your Decree before you submit it to the Court for signature by a Judge.
