How do you divide assets

Many more facts are required to answer your question.
Under Minnesota law, assets are generally divided equally in a divorce proceeding. This does not mean that each individual asset is divided in half, but that the marital estate is divided equally between the parties, with each party receiving a combination of assets that are more or less equal.
