Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Need a divorce but dont have my husband

My husband and I have been seperated since 1999. I live in Minnesota and he lives in Wisconsin somewhere. I have had no contact with him for the last 6 years. Is there any whay I can get divorced from him without his participation?

Re: Need a divorce but dont have my husband

You must seek to locate your spouse. Finding your spouse and acquiring an agreement on the legal issue is the simplest way to conclude a divorce. If you search for your spouse and are unable to locate him/her, yuou may file a Petition for Divorce in court and seek permission to serve your spouse through alternative means such as publication. This is a longer and more cumbersome process.
