Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I'm going through a divorce, and I have a question about custody.

My wife is asking that i have supervised parenting time, I do not agree with that.

she is going to base this upon my past problem with alcoholism. I have never hurt her our the children. Recently I have completed primary inpatient treatment, and my stay at a halfway house. Currently I am living in a sober house, and have been sober for 5 mo.

Do you think I should fight for my right to have unsupervised visitation? or do I not have any chance?

The answer would depend on how the alcohol issues have impacted your life and the life of the child in the past. Ultimately, custody and parenting time determinations are made based on what is in the best interests of the child. That requires a full review of all circumstances and not simply isolating on one issue.
