Can you represent yourself in court by phone if you cannot afford an attorney and cannot afford a plane ticket, it was filed in minnesota and i live in colorado, if i cannot be there he will get everything by default

You should either write or call the Judge's office to request permission to appear by telephone. Permission to appear by telephone is often granted under circumstances you've indicated. However, it is the Judge's decision.
