Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Divorce Settlement

My financee has been divorced for two years. His original attorney was to file ''Contempt of Court'' against his ex-wife, regarding his settlement. In the settlement he was suppose to receive a cash settlement- tax free. Two days before court his attorney with drew (one year later) He obtained another attorney and now it is one year later. Two years have gone by and he has not received his cash settlement. In the past year his attorney HAS NOT sent him one piece of paper as to what is going on. How or what are his legal rights to get this settled?. Contact the judge who signed the divorce papers. He would like get this behind him and move on. Distraught in Minnesota
