Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Hello, I have been divorced for 3 years now and have noticed a big change in my children that live with my Ex. Resently my Ex-Brother inlaw called me saying he is worried about the childrens well being. The Ex has a guy living there and I'm being told they fight alot. The kids seem to be withdrawing socialy and I have seen changes in the personalitys. What options do I have to get full custody of them. I have joint custody now? Help

Thank you for the post.

The answer to your question is not a simple one. The standard for a change of custody is endangerment of the children physically, emotionally or developmentally and demonstrating that the benefit of change out weighs any harm.

Proving a case requires demonstrating a cause and effect, that the parent's care caused the problem. In the situatoin you describe, you would likely require a therapist to treat the children on thier perceived issues and ferrt out the probable cause.
