Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota
family law
I borrowed a boyfriend over $10,000.00 with the intent he was going to pay me back. He hasn't. He works for his dad, lives at home with his parents and has NO assets. Can I garnish his wages if I take him to court?

First, you must go to court and prove that the proceeds were a loan. If you did not commmit your agreement to writing, that may not be so simpe since it is your word against the other party.
Second, once you go to court, you will acquire a Judgement if you prevail. With that Judgement you may garnish any wages or bank accounts.
