Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Father wanting custody

5 years ago I lost custody to my daughter. She was adopted by her foster mother. She had a last name other than mine or her biological fathers, so they acted as if that man was her father, even though they knew different. The bio. father has been trying to find out whats going on, and wants his doughter. What can he do? Can he still possibly fight for her? I hope he can!!

Re: Father wanting custody

If he was not adjudicated as the father at the time of the adoption, there is nothing that can be effectively done now. the adoption terminates any rights. It would be exceedingly difficult to reopen unless some procedural impropriety can be shown.
