Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota
Forgery
Myself and my Ex have a court ordered visitation schedule, we had been doing some changes to the schedule in writing, when we both agreed to them. He had asked me to make a change the schedule, which I did not agree to. Yet he supplied me with a document that has my forged signature on it, agreeing to the requested visitation change. This is not a court document, just a letter typed up and signed by both parties (my signature is forged). Is this a crime? Or is there some way he can get in trouble for this? Also, would this hold up in court if he brought me. I do have the original that is not signed.

Re: Forgery
It is not a crime since it it is not used for any illegal purpose. It mmay be perjury if it presented in Court to support his contention.
