Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

FREE QUESTIONS: Can you easily find out what your ex spouse is making as an annual income to see if you are paying the proper child support?

If your ex is now making the same income as you after nine years of divorce and you have 50/50 custody, what is the best way to have the appropriate child support figured?

In Minnesota, you are entitled to ask for the other parent's tax returns every two years or when there is an apparent reason to do so. If they decline to provide the return, you can file a Motion to Modify child suport and to compel that person to provide the return.

Often, properly presenting the case is the difference between a good result and a bad one. A bad result can have a long lastnbg impact and preclude you from modifying in the future without new evidence.
