my ex has full custody of our son and i've been paying child supoort for 6 yrs. my son now lives with me and has been with me for the past 3 years. can i take him to court for joint custody and make him pay child support? he travels most of the time for work, will i have a better chance of winning the case?

If the child has been integrated into your home as the primary parent with the other parent's consent, that is a basis under law to modify custody. You must file a Motion and, as parrt of the hearing process, demonstrate that the change in custody is in the best interests of the child. You may also seek contribution to the child's support.
