Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I was granted child support through the court. The father is now behind $5,718 and is taking me to court to have it lowered. He doesn't work, can I sue him for back child support like on a judge show where they pay it and then go after him? Does that void the currant order?

You can file a Motion to seek a judgment for back child support. You can also file a Motion and an Order to Show Cause, which likely would require a lawyer, seeking a jail sentence unless arrears are paid.
