Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

House

I owned a town house with my mother , when i got married i refinanced that house to buy another house with my wife. That was in 2002. We have now split and i would like to know how much of that house she is entitled to. We were married for 1 year and 10 months. The first home was begin paid for by my mother. Since then my wife has lost the other house by not making the house payment. We were force to sale that house for a loss. I paid for the loss on that house. So what i need to know how much of the house that i own with my mother that she never paid for is she entitled to. Thank you.

Re: House

Generally, pre-marital investments do not have to be shared with a spouse if you can prove that it was pre-marital and trace the source. You also have to demonstrate that no marital funds went into the invesment during the marriage. Please contact me if you would like to discuss the matter further.
