Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

My ex husband has been in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. I found out because my child went on facebook and saw a couple weird posts from his wife. I emailed her and kindly reminded her that she needs to keep my children updated also. She has sent a couple emails with very vague info in it. No real clue to what's going on. She has always felt threatened by us and I don't know why since I've been happily remarried for 10 years! But that's beside the point. I asked her which hospital he was in and she replied with he doesn't want the kids to see him this way. What are my children's rights to finding out detail info on their father? They are 15 and 13 years old.

I am afraid that what the sick parent elects to disclose is entirely up to that parent. That is nothing that requires disclosure.
