Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

My husband has 3 kids that he pays child support on. His oldest turns 18 in April 2016 and graduates HS May 2016. He called the child support office to see if his payments would reduce after she is emancipated only to find out that his child support order is not a "per child" order. We know how to request a Motion to Modify but how do we get the new order to reflect a per child order for his remaining kids? Thank you.

I suggest you choose a very well experienced attorney at this time and pay her to review the existing court order and to provide you with detailed legal advice based upon the full facts. What your spouse may attempt to do depends upon the full facts. In my work, a balancing of cost to benefit is a consideration.
