Hello. I am sorry to learn that you are going through a difficult time and face a complicated family and personal situation. To put your personal legal problems in context, nearly one third of Americans have been arrested by the age of 23. I found an indirect (secondhand) online quote stating that the US Dept of Justice believes that nearly 1 of every 15 Americans may spend time in prison at some time during his/her lifetime. In general, Minnesota family law support restoration and reunification of parents with their children, although, of course there are exceptions to the general rule. I recommend that you contact a Minnesota attorney who works in the area of family law with no delay whatsoever to seek help. I would discuss the situation with you in great detail in efforts of providing you with sound legal advice and guidance. In a situation such as you describe I would expect to provide you with specific private legal advice and guidance in many regards. In my experience the sooner you seek out an attorney to help you the better for all. I recommend that you phone several attorneys as you seek help, because you want to feel a sense of great safety and trust with the attorney helping you. Take care and the best to you and your family.

Your issue is complex and would require a review of the court file. Any long diatribe on generalities of law is useless. I is clearly a case specific issue. For a consultation call 612-240-8005.
