Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Is it illigal to lock your kids in there room at night? I have tried everything to stop my kids from getting out of there room at night but nothing has seemed to work so I was told to lock them in there room and the problem with that is I don't even know if its legal or not. If its not then of coarse I am not going to do it I will try and find something else.

Yes. It can be considered endangerment to lock children in a room where there is no egress in the event of a fire.
