Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

how to inforce settlement

In divorce there was to be a payment of $2,500 when ssi came through. two years later it is coming through, now he disputes the order. contacted his attorney and have gotten no where. what do I have to do to recieve the payment. This is included in a statement which was included in a annuity buyout where he got a settlement early and was to pay $5,000 total. I agreed to wait for the ssi and now am getting nowhere. how do I get him to follow the divorce order and the annuity payout plan written by his attorney

Re: how to inforce settlement

If your divorce decree requires the payment, you may seek to enforce it by filing a Motion for Contempt and seeking an award of your legal fees.
