Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Letters Sending

Hello

I have typical non-custodial parenting time in Minnesota (1 child). I have asked my ex-wife for an additional 24 hours of parenting time with our 5 year old daughter. She has declined. She always declines. My ex-wife is represented by a lawyer, I am not. No where in my Marital Termination Agreement does it state that I am unable to ask for additional time. Can I send a letter requesting an additional day of parenting time directly to her lawyer? Can I send one each day (as in consecutive days)? Is there any law in Minnesota that prohibits me from doing this?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Letters Sending

You may send letters asking for additional parenting days. You could ask for a winning lottery ticket, and include a list of Christmas toys while you are at it. The fact is that you may send any requests that you desire. Unfortunately, opposing counsel may equally deny them or ignore them. In short, you might be better off sending that Christmas list to Santa instead.

If you wish more parenting time, seek medition or file a Motion.
