Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I live in MN and my mother is in TX. She is hospitalized and I need to obtain medical power of attorney or power of attorney. She needs to stay on a no contact list at the hospital for her safety from her boyfriend, Can i do this from MN or do I need to be in TX. I am her Next of Kin and do have my birth certificate.

Your power of attorney should drafted in compliance with Texas law because that is where she is currently residing and she is the one that needs to sign it. The Power of Attorney should be enforceable in all fifty states. If she lacks the capacity to understand what she is signing you will need to address the situation differently.
